MUSIC AS PREVENTIVE WORK: NEW TRAINING - STALWARTS

The Erasmus + project STALWARTS, in which GAMUT participates together with the university environment from Bristol, Bologna, Porto and Tallinn, had a working meeting in Bergen last week. The project focuses on how music therapists can work at the system level in the school, focusing on the school environment, health and well-being. At the various universities, continuing education programs are now being established, originating in STALWARTS. The plan is for such a continuing education program to be established in Bergen in the autumn of 2019. Music teachers, child welfare educators, social workers, social workers and music therapists who want to know more about music as a tool in preventative work for children and young people.

Participants: Anna Rita Addessi (Bologna), Leslie Bunt (Bristol), Alexandra Carvalho (Porto), Viggo Krüger (GAMUT), Eunice Macedo (Porto) and Eha Rüütel (Tallinn). Christian Gold and Brynjulf Stige also participated in talks about collaboration opportunities.
